1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places in your browser when you visit. They allow the site to recognize your browser, remember preferences, and provide essential functionality such as keeping you signed in.
2. How we use cookies
Makulli uses a small, deliberately minimal set of cookies. We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, or building profiles for third parties.
3. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the Service to operate. They authenticate signed-in users, maintain the security of your session, and remember CSRF tokens between requests. The Service cannot function without them, so they are not optional.
Functional cookies
These cookies remember your interface preferences, such as light/dark theme. They are set only when you change a preference and are limited to your own browser.
Analytics cookies
We may, from time to time, use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage of the Service and improve it. Where applicable, these are set only with appropriate consent. We do not currently use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking analytics.
4. Specific cookies we set
The table below describes the most common cookies our application sets. Specific names and durations may change as we update the Service.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
XSRF-TOKEN |
Cross-site request forgery protection | Session |
makulli_session |
Maintains your signed-in session | 2 hours (configurable) |
remember_web_* |
"Remember me" persistent login | 5 years (if you opt in) |
5. Third-party cookies
When you complete a payment, you are redirected to Stripe, which sets its own cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing. Stripe's use of cookies is governed by its own policies. See Stripe's cookie policy.
6. Controlling cookies
Most browsers let you view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the Service from working — you will not be able to sign in. Blocking functional or analytics cookies will not prevent core functionality.
7. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
